What we do

A podiatrist is a university-qualified, AHPRA-registered health practitioner specialising in the foot, ankle and lower limb. You can book directly, no GP referral needed.

Nails, corns and calluses kept under control, with the everyday maintenance that keeps you walking comfortably.

Custom and off-the-shelf devices, prescribed after we watch how you actually move, not from a mould alone.

A permanent fix for recurring ingrown toenails, done under local anaesthetic here in the clinic.

Load management, footwear and rehab so you can keep training through it rather than stopping.

Annual checks of circulation and sensation, early warning on pressure areas, and wound care when it's needed.

Growing feet, heel pain, in-toeing and the walk that doesn't look quite right.

A full look at gait and joint function to find where the pain actually starts, which is often not where it hurts.

Ongoing care under a GP care plan, with Medicare rebates where you're eligible.

Targeted release for tight calves and stubborn trigger points that are loading the foot.

Hands-on work to restore movement in stiff foot and ankle joints after injury or immobilisation.

Fitted and reviewed properly, so fractures and tendon injuries settle instead of dragging on.

We see self-managed and plan-managed participants, in clinic or at home.

Capacity assessments and footwear advice for workers, employers and insurers.

Independent podiatry reports prepared for legal and insurance matters.

Plantar warts treated properly, from topical and debridement work through to needling for the stubborn ones.

Honest guidance on what to buy and what to avoid, matched to your feet, your work and your sport.

Focused acoustic therapy for long-standing plantar fascia and Achilles pain that has not settled with load management alone.

The team

Emmanuel Ngabo, senior podiatrist at Podhealth Foot and Ankle Clinic, Adelaide

Emmanuel Ngabo

Senior Podiatrist

Emmanuel graduated from the University of South Australia in 2015 and has worked predominantly in private practice ever since. Much of that has been inside multidisciplinary health centres, alongside GPs, physiotherapists and diabetes educators, and it shaped how he treats: the foot in the context of the whole person, not in isolation.

Patients describe him as knowledgeable, empathetic and attentive to detail. He is solution-focused, explains what he finds in plain language, and has a good sense of humour and better bedside manner. A member of the Australian Podiatry Association, he keeps up ongoing professional development so treatment reflects current evidence rather than habit.

Outside work he is usually with friends and family over good music and a glass of red. He has recently taken a keen interest in cycling, and still has some dance moves in him.
